Obituary of Elizabeth A. Jarem

Our beloved mother Elizabeth Jarem passed away peacefully in Rockledge, FL on April 8, 2024 at the age of 74. She will be joyfully remembered by her husband John Jarem after 53 years of happy marriage, her two daughters Amy Fahimi and Chrissy Thrasher, her son-in laws Farbod Fahimi and Chad Thrasher and her grandchildren Eric Patty, Abbey Jarem, and Shanna Thrasher. Elizabeth joins her son Sean Michael Jarem and her parents Patrick and Mary Ann O'Connell.

She was born and raised in County Clare, Ireland on a farm with her large, loving family. She immigrated to Philadelphia, PA and graduated from Roxborough HS in 1968. Afterward, she worked at the stock brokerage company Butcher and Singer as an internal auditor. Elizabeth was a loving mother, wife and homemaker in Huntsville, AL and later Cocoa Beach, FL. She was a devoted volunteer to Girl Scouts of America, National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI), and American Heart Association. She also had an active role in raising her beautiful grandchildren.

She was adventurous and traveled worldwide, especially while living in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in the 1970's. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, wisdom, integrity and her love for family and friends. She wished for a more peaceful World which was especially on her mind recently. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Elizabeth's family will host a funeral service to honor and celebrate her life on April 26th 2024 at 10:00am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 13550 Chaney Thompson Rd SE, Huntsville, AL 35803. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI).
