Elisha “Iggy” Darson 

Commander, USN, Retired  

Dad has joined his best girl, Jean. 

A family man, a guy’s guy; a man’s man; a true gentleman. 

To have known him is to know service to one’s country; the meaning of humility and integrity, hard work, and dedication; to know the art of teaching, coaching, mentoring for 33 years; to know respect and to meet expectations; a strong and guiding leader; one who led by example. 

To have known him is to be drawn to that warm smile and hearty laugh; to know such an amazing guy. Pretty sure they broke the mold. 

A proud Navy veteran, he served his country for 24 years; cherished husband of Jean for 72 years of a loving marriage; adored dad of Glenn (Joyce), Susan (Peter) and Donna; devoted grandpa to Kristen. 

So many gone before him – the welcome will be epic. 

Services will be held at 9:00AM, Wednesday, November 15, 2023 in Cape Canaveral National Cemetery with full military honors.
