Obituary of Johny Blasens

Johny Blasens passed away peacefully at his home on Feb 26, 2024 with his loving wife Sandy at his side. Lance Corporal Blasens was a proud marine who served in Vietnam specializing in Artillery. He was born in Ravenna, Ohio in 1948 to George and Gladys Blasens. He spent his childhood in Edenburg, township Ohio and attended the Southeast School System. 

Johny volunteered for the service of his country at the age of nineteen. After basic training he was sent to Vietnam. Johny was a very proud and devoted Marine all his life.

Johny is survived by his loving wife Sandy, son Todd and wife Diane, grandchildren Mike and wife Clarissa, Jenna and fiancé Tyler, Callie and great granddaughter Gloria. He was predeceased by his parents, daughter Kim and brother Jim and loving mother-in-law Jeanne. He is also survived by Sisters Toots, Marie and Ethel (husband Tony), sister-in law Heidi (husband Wes) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Johny enjoyed feeding and watching birds and squirrels in his backyard and volunteering for his community activities. Johny enjoyed his family and friends, both local and distant and taking care of his yard. He was voracious card and YAHTZEE player.

There will be a service for Johny on Saturday March 16, 2024 starting at 10:00am at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home located at 5400 Village Drive, Rockledge, FL. 32955. In lieu of flowers please donate to Vietnam Veterans of America at https://vva.org
