Our family is deeply saddened to announce the passing on 8 April 2020 of our beloved family member, Sharon Galloway Sutton. Sharon was born in Monroe, Louisiana on 1 May 1944 to William Andrew Galloway and Jane Acker Galloway and was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Mack Sutton, Sr., children Kathryn Dorn Williamson, Christopher Andrew Williamson (Lori), and Candice Williamson Bartell (Daniel); stepchildren Ernest Mack Sutton, Jr. and Hewett Joiner Sutton; beloved grandchildren Carlton Dorn Williamson and Braxton Acker Williamson; step grandchild Joiner Lee Sutton; and her sister Andrea Gayle Galloway Stapp.
Sharon graduated from Melbourne High School in 1962, graduated from Brevard Community College (AA) in 1988, and graduated from the University of Central Florida (BS)(Cum Laude) in 1991.
During her varied business career, she was a licensed real estate associate (Acker Realty, Albany, GA), co-owner (with her husband, Ernest} of Albany Serum Co. (GA), a Financial Advisor with PaineWebber/UBS (Melbourne), and retired in 2010 as a Certified Financial Manager with Merrill Lynch (Melbourne).
Sharon was an avid duplicate bridge player and had achieved the ACBL designation of Silver Life Master. She loved the many friends and acquaintances she met at the bridge tables and those she met as a longtime member of the Eau Gallie Yacht Club. She also loved the blackjack tables & slot machines which she frequented on her many ocean cruises.
She loved cooking, gardening, ocean ship cruising, traveling, wonderful times spent with her beloved grandchildren, her many pets over the years, and taking road trips with her husband, Ernest, on their Harley-Davidson motorcycles. They once took a trip from Melbourne, FL, to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and back over a period of 3+ weeks on their Harleys.............and she was a lifetime member of the Harley Owners Group.
Sharon was very patriotic, a staunch political conservative, and was very proud of her rich southern heritage which dated back to the pre-revolutionary period.
She was fun-loving, creative, multi-talented and fiercely loyal to her close friends and family. She was a Christian and an active member of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Melbourne, Florida...............and she will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her family and friends.
