Josephine Lucila, 72, formerly of Rockledge, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2021 at Rockledge Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. Josephine joins her partner, Remegio Prado; her parents, Guadalupe and Rafael Lucila; her brothers, Rodrigo Lucila Sr. and Rafael Lucila Sr.; and her sister, Chari Filio in heaven.
When she lived in the Philippines, she helped her mother with their family-owned bookstore. After migrating to New Jersey, she worked as a K-Mart employee and a dietary aide. During her spare time, she loved to garden and cook for her family and friends. She loved to take care of others, especially children. She was a strong woman who always fought battles that were handed to her. She always taught her family to love one another and to give to others with a full heart and expect nothing in return. The family extends their thanks to everyone who shared memories with her and cared for her.
There will be an intimate viewing with immediate family in Viera, FL and a virtual viewing via Zoom for friends and family on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. A graveside service will take place at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, NJ 11:00 A.M. April 3, 2021 where her remains will be laid to rest next to her life-long partner, Remegio
