Michael Joseph Grella, age 95, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018, in Melbourne, Florida. Mike’s family immigrated from Naples, Italy, and settled in Rochester, New York, where he was born. He was altar boy as a child in his Catholic Church and he helped his family of 8 run a general store. Mike served in WWII and met his late wife of 66 years, Loretta, at a USO Dance. They moved to Florida in 1957. Mike was a self-taught draftsman and worked his way up through Florida Steel Company to retire as the Vice President. Mike had a strong devotion to his family. His love was steady and strong. In retirement, he spent his days bowling, golfing, crabbing with family, watching football, and traveling the world with Loretta. He was stoic and brave, but unassuming. A man of few words and unsurpassed integrity.
He was preceded in death by his wife Loretta and his daughter, Linda Grella.
