Mrs. Mary Charlene Ranieri, of Brevard county and a 32 year resident of Suntree in Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully at Viera Hospital on Saturday November 17th, 2018.
Charlene was born in 1938, in Newton, NJ to Ward Nagle Jr and Myrtle Teets Nagle. She was a graduate of Newton High School, and served many years as an event planner for Sunset Lodge in Blairstown, NJ and Panther Valley Inn in Allamuchy, NJ.
On September 24, 1983, Charlene married Richard Ranieri, an American Airlines Pilot, whom she called “The love of my life”. During their 33 years together they traveled the world, including 47 Cruises. She was especially fond of Italy and claimed Disney World was their happiest place.
Charlene was known by her family, friends and neighbors as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her quick witted humor and memorable quotes made it impossible to resist laughter in her presence. She made friends everywhere she went.
Charlene is proceeded in death by her beloved husband Richard and her son David. She is survived by two daughters, Janice and Sandra. Step children Donna, Catherine, Richard, Bryan and Stephanie. 7 grandchildren Jason, Michael, Samantha, Molly, Madalyn, Ali and Margot. Charlene was blessed with 6 great grandchildren who Charlene was known simply as “Gee”.
She is, and will be, mourned by her many friends and family alike.
A memorial service is scheduled at Beckman Williamson funeral home in Melbourne on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 A.M.. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the long and vibrant life of Charlene.
