She loved a good laugh, had some moves on the dance floor, played a not-so-serious round of golf, enjoyed a tennis match and tinkered in her garden. Her faith and family were the foundation of her life.
Joan Marie (Tenoever) Gindling, 79, loved life, but a 15-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease stole her ability to live it and she passed away June 10, 2018. She was born on July 19th, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio to parents William and Thelma Tenoever.
Joan was a loving wife, married for 58 years to her devoted husband Leonard (Larry) Gindling. She and her husband raised four children: Gayle, Michael, Bonnie and Russell.
Her professional years included a drapery business, a dress shop and a successful real estate career. In her retirement years, Joan earned her Master Gardener certification, and became a skillful bridge and cribbage player.
Joan is survived by her husband Larry and their four children Gayle (Bruce) Shearer, Michael (Johnette) Gindling, Bonnie (Mike) Ciechanowicz and Russell (Heather) Gindling. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Kyle and Tyler Shearer, Clayton and Nathan Gindling, Sydney and Nicole Ciechanowicz and Mark and Rachael Gindling and a great grandson, Presley. She will be also missed by her three sisters Carol, Patty and Peggy. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Larry.

A burial mass will be held on Friday, June 15, 11 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5655 Stadium Parkway, Viera, Florida. A luncheon will follow the service. Joan will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, Florida.
