Robert Dugan, 82, of Melbourne, FL, passed away peacefully, January 6, 2019 at home surrounded by loved ones.
He was born on June 25, 1936, to the late Thomas J. Dugan and Anne M. Dugan of Manhattan, NY. He graduated from Manhattan Preparatory High School in 1954. After graduation he attended the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT and graduated in 1958 with a degree in Engineering. Robert retired from the Coast Guard in 1981 with the rank of Captain. In retirement, he and his wife started a small business selling her lighthouse artwork as greeting cards, calendars, and prints. He also enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. His life was full of risk, adventures, and “getting the deal”.
Robert is survived by wife Pat, his sons Robert, Michael and Timothy, his daughter Kathleen, and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00 A.M.
